Jam Academy JR.
Basic Rock Band Camp
Ages 6-10
|
While attending ROCK JR. kids get to experience the thrill of playing in a rock  band – with no experience
necessary. They’ll be introduced to a few rock instruments, including
guitar, bass and drums, plus do some singing and learn some music
basics. Aside from just having a ton of fun, your son or daughter will learn about instrument basics, dynamics, rhythm Basics, performance skills & band etiquette. They’ll cap off a great week of camp with a live gig at Spotlight Studios
All instruments are provided by Spotlight Studios.

BEGINNERS ROCK!
Ages
7-10
|
Get started on the guitar with a guided tour of the most common open chords,
power chords and strumming patterns. All the basics your child will need in order to play thousands of
songs.
Importantly, they’ll learn to play through learning several ‘must-know’
rock songs from artists such as:
The Beatles, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Nirvana, Guns N' Roses, AC/DC & who knows maybe even Taylor Swift? |

JAM ACADEMY
Ages
11 & up
| Jam Academy is a rock band program that takes participants through the process of
learning and rehearsing in their own band. Each rehearsal is overseen by one of our experienced teachers who also
are seasoned performers. At the end of the session the musicians
perform a rock concert attended by family, friends and maybe even Spotlight Patrons. Each session is open to 2 vocalists, 2 guitar players, 1 bass player and 1
drummer.
Some experience is required!

HIT FACTORY
Ages 13 & up
| The Hit Factory is a week-long rock band workshop. During this course we'll discuss and utilize proven songwriting techniques like structuring a song, developing a hook,
crafting a signature riff and working out a rhyming scheme for the
lyrics. Plus, you'll learn how to develop ideas as a group - drawing
from everyone's ideas. Each band will write, record and perform an original song using the techniques discussed.
Some experience is required!
