Chris Griffin - Sorry, Chris is Not Accepting Students At This Time
Chris is the founder of Spotlight. His love of music and passion for helping students learn is evident in the expressions on his student's faces. Since 1990, Chris has maintained a reputation for being friendly, & patient with kids and adults in order to help them learn at a pace that is comfortable for them.
He has over 20 years of teaching and performance experience. He is an independent song writer and occasional freelance performance and studio musician. He currently is bassist & vocalist in the local cover band "Rock Candy".
Chris has played with several, all original pop/rock bands in Seattle to great success. As the songwriter, lead vocalist and guitarist of his former band, Chronically Strange, he worked with producers Rick Parashar, Jon Plum & Geoff Ott at the renowned London Bridge Studios in Seattle. The band released a 7 song EP which received airplay on local radio stations such as KISW and KEXP (known then as KCMU). As a singer and songwriter, he has received critical praise from such publications as The Seattle Weekly, The Stranger and The Rocket magazines.
